3 HOT INDUSTRY TRENDS FROM 2018

Trend forecasting is really important in our industry.

Designers have a lot of freedom when it comes to their design inspiration. However, there are still trends that can be seen across the industry.

So as the year is coming to an end, we decided to take a look back.

Not all trends are passing, and 2018 showed us that. We have come across a few great trends that we think are worth keeping up with as we enter 2019.

Here you’ll discover some of the trends that were popular in the past year, and we believe they are still not over.

Slogans on T-Shirts

In today’s world, brands need to be eloquent. This is expected and appreciated. As you can imagine, this creates quite a chance for companies to be creative and vocal.

When you are printing words, you can always use this process to creatively say something you believe in.

What’s being said is as important as how it is being said.

Garments with quotes, words or messages on them have become trendy.

Slogans can come in different fonts or forms, and they can be vague or to the point.

Also, keep in mind that design has to get peoples attention. The best one is usually the one that instantly clicks.

Logos

Garments with logos all over them are the hit of the season and at this moment they are really, really popular.

Especially when it comes to streetwear, apparel with logo(s) has become a must-have in every wardrobe.

There are no rules – logos can be small and printed all over the fabric, or it can be just one, giant logo as the centerpiece.

Neon colors, glitter, and special effects

This is by far the coolest trend to take from 2018. Neon and sparkles were HOT in 2018, especially for special effects, and we can bet you it will get even hotter in 2019.

Neons are really noticeable, super-vivid and look good with almost any graphic element.

Glitter is perfect for creating highlighters on apparel as well as for accessories, which prove the awesome Gucci glasses on our picture.

So here you go, these are our top 3 things to take with us to 2019.

Here at Masaprint, we are committed to keeping up with trends, in order to give our clients the best experience possible.

If you have any questions about our work, or you need some glitter in your life, feel free to contact us HERE!

3 REASONS WHY YOUR BUSINESS NEEDS PRINTED T-SHIRTS ASAP

On our blog, we’ve written about ink, artwork and delicious promotion.

There is one topic we haven’t covered yet, and we must cover it promptly – the benefits of printed T-shirts for your business!

Hence today’s post, where we explain 3 reasons why your business needs printed T-shirts.

So, what are the perks printed T-shirts can have for your company, and why should you get them ASAP?

As we will explain in continuation, there are reasons why T-shirts can be a valuable asset to any type of organization.

Reason number 1: Printed T-shirts make fabulous promotional material.

Who doesn’t love trendy stuff free of charge? This is the reason great branded T-shirts should be a part of your marketing strategy.

If you wish to promote your brand in the right way, keep this in mind: everyone wears T-shirts.

When T-shirts are printed as promotional material, be sure you are doing a great job at introducing your brand and your company to anyone who sees it.

Why?

Well, T-shirts outlive any other kind of advertisement. Compared to other promo items (for example gadgets such as lighters or pens) they last much longer.

In addition, T-shirts are promotional items that are not spatially / territorially limited. The person who wears your promotional T-shirt promotes your business everywhere he or she goes – in the proper way, without it looking like a typical ad. Every time someone sees your T-shirt they will be subtly reminded of your brand.

Reason number 2: Simple, fast and diverse production

Printed T-shirts are relatively inexpensive to create and produce. Simple design combined with bulk production equals good price.

If the appropriate printing technique is matched with the right quantity, the result can be truly budget-friendly!

Furthermore, the choices are almost limitless. There are so many options to choose from: high-quality, affordable price, long sleeve, short sleeve, thick material, thin material, eco-friendly…you name it!

Reason number 3: You can use logo T-shirts as casual uniforms for your company employees.

T-shirts are the best gift you can give to your employees, especially if they are personalized.

Here is an idea: put your company’s logo on the front side and on the back – a number with an employee’s last name.

Make your company’s comfy uniforms look like team jerseys, and your employees will absolutely love them.

Nothing says team spirit like team T-shirts… Easy to brand and easy to wear!

High-quality T-shirt printing has never been easier, particularly with Masaprint.

Due to our experience in the apparel-printing industry, we are able to offer you a professional service. You want it – we’ve got it!

ARTWORK FOR TEXTILE PRINT: WHAT EVERY MARKETING EXPERT SHOULD KNOW

Doing graphic design, and doing graphic design particularly for t-shirt printing can mean two totally different things.

While most graphic designers know their craft, it is crucial for managers to also know the basics.

When you know the fundamentals, you are able to work and communicate more effectively with your designer(s).

Moreover, you are able to prevent some common problems. Did you know designers really dislike when you send them a logo of poor quality? Also, you don’t want to spend hours working with your designer, only or to have the printer tell you the design you sent doesn’t work t-shirt printing.

How to have the artwork ready for T-shirt printing and make sure you are happy with the final result?

Here are some fundamentals, just to keep in the back of your head.

Adaptability

The artwork should always adapt to the final format. That means the designer needs to know precisely what the artwork is going to be used for, and what will be the printing method.

For example, when the artwork is meant for t-shirt screen printing, it is necessary to separate colors into different layers.

Direct to garment technique is great at recreating small details. So if the artwork is meant for DTG, it needs to be the highest achievable quality.

Resolution

All printing methods need high resolution. Adjust the resolution of the images you send to your designer to make sure you are giving them a high-resolution file.

If your picture does not have the wanted resolution (usually at least 300 DPI – dots per inch), you can always change it using the right software, like Photoshop.

Colors

When you can, use Pantone Codes for colors in your artwork. This makes the color separations a lot clearer and more precise.

Identifying exactly which Pantone color you’re using will prevent a few common mistakes down the road.

If you are thinking RGB and CMYK, always go with CMYK, since it is the color printers use.

Furthermore, the artwork you send needs to have a transparent background. Surely you don’t want a weird square of some color to be printed around your image.

All text needs to be converted to outlines

This is an important step that designers tend to sometimes forget, and you should know why they need to remember to do it.

If the fonts are not rasterized, there is a possibility that the design will be accidentally changed when the fonts are substituted.

When that happens, the printer needs to contact you, you need to reach out to the designer, and everyone’s time is wasted.

When the designer converts the text to outlines, any computer that opens the file sees the font as an image, and the problem is solved.

The size

The artwork should be generally created in its final size. Also, if you can, give a suggestion to your designer to use vector artwork as much as possible. This makes color separations easier and the print comes out cleaner in the small details.

These basic tips to keep in mind should cover most of the difficulties you might face.

If you need custom clothing, and you are looking for a partner known for the extremely high quality of service and technology (like Masaprint ;), you can GET IN TOUCH WITH US HERE.

PROMOTION CAN BE DELICIOUS!

Besides, during the approaching holiday season, promotion SHOULD be delicious.

We would like to present to you a different, fresh marketing idea that can help you increase sale, promote your trade products and advertise your company.

Lead, dare, stand out, be different – and choose small portion packs along the way.

This is a unique, custom-made promotional weapon we know your customers and partners will enjoy.

Snacky promo idea

You can choose your desired taste between these delightful combinations:

Salt packaging – Various sorts of nuts and peanuts, mixtures of nuts, roasted salted seeds, spicy peanuts, and spicy corn.

Chocolate packaging – Nuts in milk, dark chocolate, white chocolate, dried fruits in milk, candied dried fruits, and candied peanuts.

Healthy packaging – Raw nuts, peanuts roasted without oil and salt, dried fruits, and different kinds of seeds.

Snacky custom design

Did you know that, from now on, you can create your own promo snacks design?

Depending on your intentions, desires, and goals you can transform your individual, unique idea into your own, unique design. How cool is that?

For the design, you can choose your logo or brand name. Your branding is 100% visible and noticeable on a very nice, small pack which definitely stands out from other marketing products.

This is an excellent marketing tool to choose if you want to reward your loyal customers. Besides, tasty snacks can be a great way to get on the good side of your potential new customers.

Packaging Sizes

Small portion packs used for promotional snacks are beautiful, simple and made of high-quality, remarkably practical bags.

They stand out as promotional gifts (especially during the holiday season) and make an awesome refreshment with a glass of drink.

Small portion packs are available in various sizes. You can pick the dimension of bags according to your personal/company taste.

For example, if you desire, you can choose between 8g, 10g, 20g, 50g, or 100g packs of peanuts.

Furthermore, you are able to choose a different package from quantity to packing, like promo snacks with hang slot, promo snacks chain, promo snacks mono packaging…

Regarding your needs, we can advise you about the most appropriate packing.

So many delicious options are only here so you could take the one that accommodates you the most.

As always, we are here to practice what we preach, so we are already designing our own custom-made branded snacky package…

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WATER-BASED AND PLASTISOL INKS

Water-based and plastisol inks are the two most common inks in screenprinting industry.

Are you wondering which one is better for your garments?

Here are the main differences between the two you need to know about.

In General

Plastisol is the most common ink used in t-shirt printing. It is a PVC and phthalate-based ink made for apparel.

Plastisol is the current industry standard as it:

  • works very well on all screen printing machines,
  • is much easier to use in production and
  • is also much cheaper than water-based inks.

Water-based ink is an eco-friendly trend in the industry. It is a two-part system that requires base and pigments (added to the base to create colors).

Water-based inks are usually used in fashion retail printing. With this type of ink, producers are able to achieve that most-wanted soft hand feel and avoid possible phthalate negative health impacts.

Moreover, water-based ink is a higher quality ink but requires significant training for manufacturers/screen printers to use it.

In addition, plastisol ink has a broad diversity of specialty products, while water-based has a large but healthy.

Durability and Touch

Water-based prints last as long as the garment does. This is a result of the fact that the ink dyes the garment directly, actually switching the color of the shirt and with the color of the graphic.

The plastisol inks, on the other hand, lay directly on the material, overlaying the shirt.

Nevertheless, after a long time, plastisol ink prints eventually do tear down. A break down normally happens in form of a broken, stripped or a scaled print on the shirt.

If you look at the touch, the water-based print is soft, smooth, breathable and actually a part of the garment. After the first wash, you are nearly unable to feel the picture on the shirt.

On the other hand, prints from plastisol inks feel solid, dense thick, and unbreathable.

We have tried to give you an objective outlook on both the pros and cons of both water-based and plastisol ink.

Here at Masaprint, we are committed to switching on water-based inks, in order to increase the satisfaction of clients as well as to take care of our environment and health.

If you have any questions about our inks, or you need help with your next project, contact us HERE!

DRESS YOUR BRAND FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

Every person and every industry has to be aware that we did not inherit the earth from our ancestors, but we borrowed it from our grandchildren.

Here at Masaprint, we are committed to acting accordingly by using water-based inks, in order to increase the satisfaction of current clients as well as future generations.

What is water-based ink?

It’s a super soft high-end ink, commonly used in fashion retail printing.

Water-based inks have what’s called a “soft hand” feel that many consumers desire today. The ink cannot be easily felt when you run your hand over the design. It is breathable and feels like a part of the garment. Therefore, more and more people chose water-based ink for T-shirts as it creates a more comfortable clothing piece. A shirt with too much of a “hard hand” design as a result of plastisol inks can be very irritating, especially during your summer vacations.

Why we use water-based ink?

Not only does this water-based ink technology offer a soft touch to the garment what increases customer satisfaction, but it is also environmentally friendly. Water-based ink uses water as a solvent what makes them eco-friendly, unlike plastisol ink, which contains PVC and phthalate. Besides of all above-mentioned benefits of water-based inks to our clients and although plastisol is still the most common ink used in T-shirt printing, we took over our own responsibility for future generations and replaced plastisol with water-based inks.

We are translating our knowledge from the fashion industry to dress and promote your brand for success and future well-being.

The type of ink one chooses for a project determines the look and quality of the final product, and we choose to use water-based ink for the best results.
